TREATMENT

Impotence usually can be treated without surgery. Type of treatment depends on the cause. Special exercises carried out by people with impotence due to psychological problems, the so-called convergence technique sensation 3 stages.

This technique encourages intimacy and emotional warmth, which is more focused to build a relationship:

  1. Phase I: courtship, the couple concentrated to please each other without touching the pubic area.
  2. Phase II: the couple began to touch the pubic area or other erotic areas, but not engage in intercourse.
  3. Stage III: engage in intercourse.

Each reached the comfort of intimacy at each stage before continuing to the next stage. If this technique does not work, patients may need to undergo psychotherapy or sexual therapy. If people are depressed, may be given anti-depression medication.

Sildenafil is a drug that could meningkatkanaliran blood to the penis. The drug is taken 30-60 minutes before sexual intercourse, only effective if accompanied by sexual arousal. Should not be taken along with nitrate because it can cause serious side effects. If impotence or loss of sexual desire due to low testosterone levels, patients should undergo hormone replacement therapy. Testosterone is injected every week or given in the form of plaster. Side effects of prostate enlargement and is the excess of red blood cells that can cause a stroke.

Binding instrument or exploiters are often used to achieve and maintain an erection, but this tool should not be used by people with bleeding disorders or patients taking anticoagulant medication. Binding tool (a rope or a ring made of metal, rubber or leather) mounted at the base of the penis to slow the flow of blood from the penis. Tools exploiters (in the form of hollow box and pump) mounted on the penis. Vacuum pressure helps drainage of blood into the penile arteries. When the penis is erect, a bonding tool mounted to prevent the blood from the venous drainage. A combination of both devices can maintain an erection for 30 minutes.

Sometimes binding instrument causes problems when ejaculation, especially if tied too tight. For the sake of security, i recommend that after 30 minutes of the tool is released. If too much is used, vacuum devices can cause bruising.

Impotence can also be treated with an injection of special drugs made by the patient. The drug is injected directly into the erectile tissue of the penis (corpus cavernous. Erections occurred within 5-10 minutes after the drug is injected and can last for 60 minutes. The side effects are bruising and pain. In addition, injection can also cause Priapism (persistent erection and pain).

If impotence does not respond to various treatments above, can be used transplant penis or prosthesis (artificial penis). One of the tools that grafted a stout rod inserted into the penis to create a permanent erection. Another tool in the form of a balloon inserted into the penis and inflated until the patient had sexual intercourse.
